If you’ve been considering hair extensions but aren’t sure which method is right for you, weft extensions might be the perfect fit. Known for their ability to add instant volume, seamless length, and customizable fullness, wefts are one of the most popular options I offer in the salon.

Here’s everything you need to know before booking a consultation:
How Weft Extensions Are Installed
Weft extensions are sewn into your natural hair using a beaded foundation that sits close to your scalp. This creates a secure base without the need for adhesive or heat. The process is gentle, efficient, and allows your hair to grow naturally underneath.

Who Wefts Are Best For
Wefts are incredibly versatile and can work for fine, medium, or thick hair — it all comes down to custom placement and the right type of weft.
✨ For medium to thick hair: they add dramatic fullness and length, creating that voluminous, “big hair” look.✨ For fine hair: we can strategically place lighter rows for natural volume without overwhelming delicate strands.
Maintenance Schedule
Wefts grow out with your natural hair, which means regular maintenance is key to keeping them comfortable and invisible.
Depending on your scalp and hair health, we’ll choose one of two routines:
Full reinstall every 6–10 weeks — the wefts are removed, refreshed, and reinstalled. The time between depends on your scalp and natural hair - together we create a plan that is best suited to your individual needs. Generally, clients with finer hair need to come in more often to not put too much stress on the scalp and natural hair.
Hybrid routine — some clients alternate between a quick bead push-up every 4–5 weeks, followed by a full reinstall the next visit.
This personalized approach keeps your extensions secure while maintaining the health of your natural hair.
Why Clients Love Wefts
Seamless volume + length: Because the hair is installed in rows, you can achieve maximum density with a natural blend.
Customizable options: From hand-tied to machine-tied wefts, we can tailor the type, size, and texture to fit your goals.
Simple daily styling: Once installed, your wefts are easy to care for, just follow your at-home routine and enjoy your new look.
Are Wefts Right for You?
Every extension method has its own unique benefits, and the best choice depends on your hair type, lifestyle, and desired results. If you’re looking for instant volume, customizable installs, and a natural finish, weft extensions could be the perfect match.
✨ The best next step is to schedule a consultation. During your appointment, we’ll talk through your goals, look at your hair health, and decide if wefts are right for you.
